Job Purpose
Support production by improving up time and communication of repair activities. Execute preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability for scheduled production. Drive improvements in facilities and maintenance through standardization initiatives, data collection on work orders / Preventative Maintenance, spare parts stocking strategy improvements, as well as cost savings through performing repairs, equipment installations, and project management.
Principal Accountabilities
+ Participate in safety initiatives to improve our employees’ work environment and maintain safety as our number one priority.
+ Support production through timely response of breakdown repairs and root cause identification.
+ Execute preventative maintenance activities according to required tasks and frequency.
+ Document findings from breakdown repairs and PM’s in CMMS for historical data, parts used and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ability to support equipment installation and relocation projects.
+ Familiar with installing breakers & bus plugs, sizing conduit & wire and executing power installation
+ Ability to support pipe fitting necessary to provide utilities to new equipment – pipe threading, PVC, Pro-press copper, sweat copper, etc.
+ Ability to establish elevation and install the appropriate hanger system for conduit and/or plumbing.
+ Experience with rigging equipment and safe loading, unloading, and transporting practices.
+ General knowledge of facility electrical power distribution equipment.
+ Familiarity with Facilities equipment for production support, such as Air Compressors, Chillers, Cooling Towers, HVAC equipment, Boilers, Sprinkler systems.
+ Solid understanding of ladder logic.
+ Ability to establish connectivity with various PLC’s and use laptop to troubleshoot ladder logic to solve problems.
+ Demonstrate a working knowledge in Machine Repair, Facilities Maintenance, and Electrical troubleshooting on production equipment as well as the following specific categories:
+ 3-phase motors / motor starters / motor control circuits
+ Ladder logic troubleshooting
+ Hydraulics
+ Pneumatics
+ HVAC / Refrigeration
+ Vacuum Material Handling
Equipment Experience and Additional Responsibilities:
+ Experience with operating PIT’s and man-lifts; sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, scissors lifts, articulating boom lifts. . .
+ Understanding of conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, saws. . .
+ Experience with welding processes; Arc-welding, tig welding, mig welding. . .
+ Experience with carpentry / wood fabrication
+ Familiar with CMMS’s and data entry to record parts used, repair findings, labor hours and historical notes
+ Experience using Multimeter, Recording meters, Megger. . .
+ Ability to learn the operation of production equipment in a safe manner to improve troubleshooting effectiveness and Preventative Maintenance execution
+ Familiar with the use of pipe threading equipment
+ Experience with Predictive Maintenance equipment / processes – Thermography, Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonic Monitoring, Oil Analysis. . .
+ Ability to use a hydraulic conduit bender
+ Familiar with hydraulic hose fabrication and crimping equipment / processes
+ Working knowledge of die and mold preparation and repair

Knowledge / Skills / Experience
+ Must be a self-starter; able to prioritize, work independently and multi-task without being micro-managed
+ Ability to work in a cross functional team and collaborate respectfully to solve problems
+ Ability to manage projects, perform research for solutions, specify needed materials and convey a plan of execution
+ Be receptive of constructive criticism and cross training, as well serve as a mentor in areas of competency
+ Ability to estimate labor hours for installation and repair projects
+ Ability to identify cost savings opportunities
+ Ability to perform research necessary to obtain machine data and parts information to advance assignments and specify parts for procurement
+ Understanding of 6S methodology and implementation of housekeeping / organization to support
+ Familiar with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools
+ Ability to produce sketches and create technical notes for reference, use of AutoCAD a plus
+ Must have 8 + years of hands-on Maintenance experience in an industrial environment
+ Ability to read blueprints, equipment diagrams and technical notes, as well as use applicable measuring equipment
+ Journeyman Electrician or Machine Repairman / Completed formal Apprenticeship program / Trade-school education a plus
+ Fundamental computer skills
+ RSLogix 500 / RSLogix 5000 / Rockwell Automation experience
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Understanding and compliance with plant safety policies and requirements (LO/TO, Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, etc.)
+ Dispose of Trash: Discard waste streams in their respective locations (wood, metals, chemicals, plastics, recycling, hazards, and non-hazardous waste, etc.)
+ Follow Standard Operating Procedures and JSA’s
+ Understand your role in the EHS&S process and goals
