Robert Half has partnered with a stable, non-profit on their search for an Accounting Manager with medical billing expertise. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting functions, creating budgets, processing reimbursements, assisting with month end close, drafting journal entries, preparing monthly financial statements, and overseeing the accounting team. This role is pivotal in supporting financial health and growth, providing variance analysis, ensuring compliance with GAAP, identifying opportunities for process automation, and setting clear goals and expectations for the financial services department. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.

What you get to work on daily

• Oversee all aspects of financial services, including accounting, budgeting, and reimbursements

• Manage investment and debt plans, ensuring sound financial operations

• Handle resident accounting, providing accurate and timely information

• Lead a team of accounting professionals, encouraging growth and efficiency

• Implement monthly financial close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliation

• Prepare monthly management financial reports and executive summary schedules

• Provide technical support to departmental directors and managers for reporting and budget questions

• Utilize knowledge of medical billing to enhance financial operations

• Employ various accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Perform critical accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Execute auditing and billing functions with precision and diligence

• Apply experience in non-profit accounting to optimize financial operations.

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Manager MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:

• 10+ years of accounting experience

• CPA preferred

• MUST have long-term care industry experience (non-profit preferred)

• MUST have Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) reporting
