    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to contribute to a multi-year project focused on transitioning on-premises Microsoft systems to a modern, cloud-based environment. This position is crucial for ensuring the seamless migration of Microsoft infrastructure and Office 365 solutions while enhancing system security and operational efficiency. Located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, this role is a Contract-to-permanent opportunity within the healthcare industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the migration of on-premises Microsoft Exchange to Exchange Online within Office 365, ensuring minimal disruptions to users.

    • Manage user licensing, identity configurations, and security settings in the O365 environment.

    • Collaborate with internal security teams and external partners to enhance endpoint security.

    • Perform audits and gap analyses of existing systems to identify and implement improvements.

    • Strengthen Active Directory structures, including Group Policy Objects, to align with organizational needs.

    • Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks and streamline system operations.

    • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of Windows desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows Server 2012.

    • Administer cloud technologies and Citrix environments to support business functionality.

    • Conduct regular backup operations and ensure data integrity using advanced backup technologies.

    • Manage DNS and DHCP configurations to ensure reliable network performance.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

     

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Active Directory administration.

    • Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.

    • Hands-on experience with Windows operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows Server versions.

    • Familiarity with Citrix technologies and cloud-based solutions.

    • Knowledge of endpoint security best practices and tools.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
