Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to support the maintenance, implementation, and troubleshooting of client networks and data center infrastructure. This role involves working on complex high-availability systems, network configurations, and compute and storage solutions while collaborating with teams on large-scale deployment projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise, the ability to solve challenging problems, and a proactive mindset to ensure the reliability of client operations. Responsibilities
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair server and network problems.
+ Provide support and maintenance for the data center networking environments.
+ Manage and oversee the implementation of new WAN and Remote Access installation projects.
+ Handle the setup and deployment of high-availability (HA) compute, storage, and networking solutions.
+ Collaborate with the data center team on current projects and initiatives to ensure project success.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing actionable recommendations for issue resolution.
+ Adapt and operate effectively in diverse and challenging work environments.
+ Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision while effectively managing time and priorities.
+ Participate in team-based projects alongside other engineers for large-scale deployments and troubleshooting.
Technical Responsibilities:
+ Provide timely technical support, ensuring alignment with company standards and service-level agreements (SLAs).
+ Log, track, assign, and respond to incidents while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
+ Maintain comprehensive support documentation for tools used in customer support operations.
+ Monitor and analyze incident trends and recurring problems, implementing resolutions accordingly.
+ Utilize advanced tools and technical knowledge to remediate customer problems and conduct scheduled installations.
+ Troubleshoot desktop usage concerns and peripheral device issues efficiently.
+ Administer maintenance, monitoring, and administration of complex systems effectively.
+ Provide accurate time estimations for project tasks, including development of new features and defect corrections.
