Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large employee base while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the healthcare industry by managing payroll operations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for a workforce of over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Utilize electronic timekeeping systems to track employee hours and generate payroll data.

• Prepare and file payroll taxes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.

• Address payroll discrepancies, resolve issues, and respond to employee inquiries.

• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll operations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax guidelines.

• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.

• Generate payroll reports and summaries for management review.

• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing for organizations with 500+ employees.

• Proficiency in electronic timekeeping systems and payroll software (excluding Quicken/QuickBooks).

• Familiarity with payroll tax preparation and filing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address payroll issues promptly.

• Effective communication skills to interact with employees and cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of payroll compliance regulations, labor laws, and tax guidelines.

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
