Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Goleta, California. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting HR operations, including onboarding new hires, managing employee benefits, and providing administrative assistance. This position offers a flexible schedule and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate onboarding processes by preparing and managing paperwork for new hires.
• Oversee employee benefits administration, including retirement plans, health insurance, and payroll enrollment.
• Provide day-to-day support for employee benefit inquiries and requests.
• Assist with general office administration and management tasks, such as data entry and filing.
• Address employee requests and coordinate park rental requests.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee data into HR systems.
• Support payroll processes and benefit enrollment tasks.
• Maintain organized records and assist with auditing HR-related documents.
• Coordinate with team members to provide excellent customer service to employees.
• Utilize software tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to streamline administrative tasks.
Requirements • Proven experience in office management or human resources, with a focus on benefits administration.
• Familiarity with CalPERS retirement and health plans is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of HRMS systems and payroll software such as ADP.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Experience with background checks and auditing processes is a plus. TalentMatch®
