Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong focus on tax to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role requires an individual with exceptional analytical skills and expertise in tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting. As a key contributor, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality financial solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth tax research and develop proactive strategies to optimize clients’ tax positions.

• Provide detailed advice on tax implications related to business transactions, reorganizations, and other financial activities.

• Manage complex tax engagements, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, timely, and meet client expectations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with established standards.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify and pursue business development opportunities.

• Mentor less experienced staff by reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback to support their growth.

• Stay informed about changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices to provide expert guidance.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.

• Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries as part of month-end close procedures.

• Manage multiple priorities and engagements effectively while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax.

• Comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and team collaboration.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines effectively.
