Job Title: Auditor, Internal Audit
Compensation: 70K-90K - Fully Remote
My client is hiring a Senior Staff Auditor, you will report to the SVP of Internal Audit and work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders. You'll play a crucial role in performing audits, evaluating internal controls, and contributing to the company’s compliance and risk management efforts. This position provides room for development and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to achieving departmental audit objectives in a collaborative team environment.
+ Execute audits in alignment with internal audit and department standards, including:
+ Planning and prioritizing audit assignments.
+ Conducting interviews and process walkthroughs.
+ Analyzing, documenting, and testing the effectiveness of internal controls.
+ Preparing detailed and accurate workpapers.
+ Developing actionable audit recommendations and contributing to audit reporting.
+ Maintain open and proactive communication with management, external auditors, and the internal audit team.
+ Assist with external audits as needed.
+ Deliver advisory services on request, ensuring the internal audit function does not assume management responsibilities.
+ Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 2-5 years of auditing experience, including previous experience in public accounting or internal audit required
• Strong technical knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS). Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Internal Controls
• CPA and/or CIA certification preferred
• Experience leveraging data analytics tools to analyze/test audit data sets
• Proficiency in audit methodology and risk/controls assessments
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks/projects in a remote environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
