Description
Robert Half is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Representative for our clients across diverse industries, including finance, non-profit, construction, and property management. The Account Specialist will be responsible for handling a variety of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting day-to-day business operations. Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliations.
+ Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring proper coding of expenses and revenue in the general ledger.
+ Reconcile company bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
+ Monitor outstanding balances and coordinate with clients/customers to collect overdue payments.
+ Generate financial reports such as aging reports, account statements, and billing summaries for management review.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to process expense reports, provide financial insights, and ensure department alignment on budgets.
+ Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies or inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
+ Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual calculations and journal entry preparation.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
+ Assist with audit preparation by organizing and providing necessary financial documentation.
Requirements
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or 2+ years of equivalent experience in accounting or finance.
+ Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.
+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP).
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis techniques.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with vendors, clients, and team members.
+ Knowledge of industry-specific processes (e.g., construction job costing, non-profit grant accounting, or property management accounting) is a plus but not required.
