Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, assisting clients with account updates, and contributing to various special projects as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your organizational skills and payroll expertise to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify employee hours to ensure accurate payroll calculations.

• Provide support to clients by updating payroll accounts and resolving inquiries.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate payroll records for compliance and reporting purposes.

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of payroll reports as needed.

• Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives related to payroll.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations in payroll processing.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile and analyze payroll data efficiently.

• Address discrepancies in payroll and take appropriate corrective actions. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage and analyze data.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.

• Excellent communication skills for working with clients and team members.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with payroll software and industry best practices.

• Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
