The Account Executive II manages a territory in order to retain customers and help grow the BCBSMA business through consultative selling, issue resolution, and superior concierge service. Markets and sells the BCBSMA product portfolio including dental & ancillary through brokers and on a direct basis to 51-99 retention accounts.
Your Day to Day:
+ Uses strong consultative, solutions based selling skills, ability to build relationships, influence decision-making, and negotiate sales to meet or exceed assigned quota and goals for territory and account retention and growth, and new product sales (E.g. Dental and Ancillary).
+ Responsible for relationship building and management with key brokers, consultants and accounts to leverage the position of BCBSMA in the marketplace to achieve objectives for account retention and growth.
+ Promotes adoption of engagement products such as Tiered Networks, Consumer Driven Health Plans and Employer Sponsored Wellness Programs by gaining support for new ideas and solutions.
+ Leverages Marketing tools and programs to inform and train brokers and their staff and accounts about BCBSMA product portfolio, services, enhancements, processes, legislation, and changes to the Network.
+ Manages the renewal process through negotiating pricing and coordination with other internal department (E.g. Marketing, Underwriting, Finance, Service and Product Management).
+ Demonstrate competitor and industry knowledge conversing and presenting to client base.
+ Partners with Account Service Team to deliver concierge level service to all accounts and brokers at all times and assures resolution of service issues.
+ Manages and completes renewals with competing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
+ Travels to accounts to meet with accounts and brokers.
+ Must demonstrate effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills in order to consistently meet deadlines and performance standards.
+ Displays Teamwork and professionalism in all interactions internally and externally.
+ Directly influences revenue generation.
What You Bring:
+ Massachusetts Life, Accident and Health producer’s license MUST be obtained within 90 days of start date and specified requirements met to maintain active license status.
+ BS/BA degree preferred.
+ 5-7 years professional business experience.
+ 3-5 years Account Management experience.
+ Prior sales experience required; healthcare sales experience preferred.
+ Must demonstrate effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills in order to consistently meet deadlines and performance and activity standards.
+ Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts healthcare products, financial arrangements and service delivery.
+ Proven consultative selling skills and sales results.
+ Communication skills – effective verbal, written and oral communications
This position is eligible for the eWorker, mobile and resident persona, and will report to our Hingham MA location.

Salary Range: $60,660.00 - $74,140.00
The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
This job is also eligible for variable pay.
