Lead IT Enterprise Systems Architect

We are looking for a skilled Systems Architect to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable architecture for our systems, ensuring alignment with our business goals and technology strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software and hardware integration, application architecture, and cloud computing. This role with report to Enterprise Architecture Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Design:
+ Develop and maintain system architecture designs that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the organization.
+ Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, models, and specifications, to facilitate understanding and implementation.
+ Ensure that system architectures are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaboration with Stakeholders:
+ Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to identify system requirements and design suitable solutions.
+ Serve as a technical liaison between IT teams and business units, translating business needs into technical specifications.
+ Conduct architecture review meetings to solicit feedback and ensure alignment across teams.
+ Technology Evaluation and Selection:
+ Research emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend suitable technologies that align with business goals.
+ Evaluate and select software and hardware components, tools, and platforms necessary for system architecture.
+ Analyze existing systems to identify enhancements and recommend modifications for improved performance and efficiency.
Implementation Oversight:
+ Provide guidance and oversight during the implementation of systems architecture to ensure adherence to design specifications.
+ Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve architectural issues during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
+ Conduct regular reviews of deployed systems to assess their performance and ensure compliance with architectural standards.
Quality Assurance and Optimization:
+ Establish architectural standards and best practices to ensure quality and consistency in system design and implementation.
+ Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements, including system upgrades and enhancements.
+ Develop and maintain performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of architectural solutions.
Training and Mentorship:
+ Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support in system design and architecture.
+ Facilitate training sessions to share knowledge and best practices within the organization.
+ Document lessons learned and develop training materials to enhance team capabilities.
This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
+ 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, software development, or a related field.
+ Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and design patterns.
+ Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
+ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex architecture challenges.
+ Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
