What you’ll do as a Fiber Splicer II

+ You will, with guidance, perform tasks associated with the upgrade and splicing of Copper Cables (Copper 710 Splicing)

+ You will, with guidance, maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment

+ You will assemble equipment according to design specifications

+ You will test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation

+ You will maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment

+ You will assemble equipment according to design specifications

+ You will install/repair Fiber lines in trenches and/or pedestals using various hand tools

+ You will prepare paperwork to track daily production, and accurately record completed work on job site blueprints

What you’ll need

+ To be 18 years of age or older

+ Authorization to work in the United States for this company

+ Valid State Driver's License

+ You will have 3 or more years experience as a cooper splicer with experience on outside plant or system installations while working from blueprints, specifications, and system documentation

+ You will have a high school diploma or equivalent

Physical abilities & exposures

+ **Routinely: Lift, bend, stoop, climb and work in varying weather conditions**

+ **Occasionally: Lift up to 80 lbs**
