    This role involves providing technical support during daily downtime calls and executing system resets. The Engineering Technician will perform in-depth troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems, ranging from 24V DC to 480V 3-phase, and mechanical systems. This includes working with control components such as starters, overloads, relays, VFDs, motors, sensors, and hydraulic systems like valves, pressure transducers, and pumps. Additionally, the position requires management of spare parts, submitting PO requests, and ensuring daily task sheets and downtime sheets are completed. The role also includes responsibility for the upkeep and repair scheduling of Mold Machines in our foundries.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical support during daily downtime calls.

    + Execute system resets and perform troubleshooting and repairs of electrical systems.

    + Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including valves and pumps.

    + Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on conveyors and drive components.

    + Manage spare parts not controlled by the MRO department.

    + Submit PO requests for necessary parts and complete daily task sheets.

    + Ensure daily downtime sheets are completed and submitted.

    + Take responsibility for Mold Machine upkeep and repair scheduling.

    + Manage a major repair with a team during shutdowns.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of industrial troubleshooting experience.

    + Proficiency in PLC, specifically Allen-Bradley.

    + Experience in a leadership position.

    + Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic blueprints.

    + Skills in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and schematic interpretation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with PowerPoint.

    + Experience with induction furnaces.

    Work Environment

    The Engineering Technician will work on the 1st shift, with hours from 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM, and will be required to work two weekends a month. They will report to the CEQS Staff Engineer and management, working alongside the second Engineering Technician and 1st shift EQS personnel.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
