Description

This Mechanical/Project Engineering Supervisor will oversee daily operations, manage personnel, and ensure seamless workflow across shifts. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate projects effectively. Each day begins with a meeting with Mike to review priorities, followed by a discussion with Jordan, the day shift supervisor, to assess shift performance and address any upcoming tasks. They will then return to the shop to communicate assignments to a team of four hourly employees, clarifying who is handling calls, projects, and other tasks. In addition to managing breakdowns and ordering spare parts, this role includes overseeing project management using Gantt charts and tracking ongoing initiatives. Payroll processing is an essential responsibility, ensuring vacation approvals and denials are properly managed. On an average day, the supervisor will spend approximately two to three hours handling desk work and five to six hours overseeing operations on the floor. At the end of each shift, reviewing daily reports submitted by employees and maintaining communication with the third-shift supervisor is critical to ensuring continuity and operational efficiency. - Participate in team meetings to collect, analyze, and act on issues that come up on the floor. - Direct workers engaged in all types of repairs - Develop a strong knowledge of company equipment and programs - Troubleshoot machines (slitter lines, laser cutters, presses, and overhead cranes) - Be involved in continuous improvement projects

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

they will give 2 weeks pto but this can be negotiated. benefits available
