    Job Title: Technical Services RepresentativeJob Description

     

    We are seeking a highly customer-focused Technical Services Representative to join our technical services team. This role involves extensive phone-based troubleshooting, providing solutions for water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and other water treatment products. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting our customers and ensuring high-quality service.

    Responsibilities

    + Support customer inquiries via phone and email using technical troubleshooting techniques and offering solutions for water treatment products.

    + Train and demonstrate equipment to internal and external customers and technical support staff, either in-house, at customer locations, or virtually.

    + Perform field start-up of water treatment equipment on-site at customer locations.

    + Prepare and deliver quotations for replacement parts for customers.

    + Participate in product development projects and documentation to improve product quality based on customer feedback.

    + Collaborate with team members across the organization in Engineering, Sales, Operations, etc., to resolve customer issues.

    + Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, BOMs, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical data for accurate customer support of field questions and solutions.

    + Identify and document non-conformances and root causes of field-related customer issues and implement solutions or corrective actions where appropriate.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.

    + Strong customer service skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and electrical schematics.

    + Experience with reverse osmosis and water softener equipment.

    + Capacity to diagnose issues in PLC code and make minor edits.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in customer support roles.

    + Knowledge in PLC programming and electrical systems.

    + Familiarity with reverse osmosis and water softener equipment is ideal but not required.

    Work Environment

    This role primarily involves phone-based customer support with minimal travel requirements, around 15-20%. Travel is typically local and occurs once a month or every two months. The team utilizes independent contractors for site services, allowing the in-house team to focus on handling high volumes of phone calls and parts order quote requests. The work environment is collaborative, with opportunities to work alongside other full-time service technicians.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr.
