HIRING: Environmental Project Manager / Asbestos Investigator!
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead industrial hygiene projects from inception to completion. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to assess and mitigate environmental health hazards, conducting comprehensive industrial hygiene assessments, overseeing sample collection and analysis, and preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, write and review proposals for new projects and clients, provide training and guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage industrial hygiene projects from start to finish.
+ Develop and implement strategies to assess and mitigate environmental health hazards.
+ Conduct comprehensive industrial hygiene assessments.
+ Oversee sample collection and analysis.
+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
+ Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.
+ Write and review proposals for new projects and clients.
+ Provide training and guidance to junior staff and team members.
+ Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
Essential Skills:
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Expertise in environmental science.
+ Proficiency in HAZWOPER protocols.
+ Experience in site assessment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
+ 6-8+ years of experience in Environmental Science.
+ Proven experience as an Environmental Project Manager.
+ Experience with NYCDEP projects.
+ Air Sampling Technician certification.
+ OSHA 30 Certification.
+ HAZWOPER Certification.
+ OSHA 40-hour Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification.
Work Environment:
Join a collaborative team of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors, reporting to the Operations Manager. This role involves overseeing field sampling, working on NYC Agency Projects, and being based in a vibrant office in Midtown, New York. Enjoy a dynamic culture with opportunities for growth, learning from senior staff, and engaging in social activities like happy hours and outings. The company supports professional development by covering the cost of additional certifications needed during the first week of training.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $67.30/hr.
