    Job Title: Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer

    Job Description

    The Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer will be a crucial member of the R&D team, contributing significantly to the development of the next-generation robotic platform aimed at transforming healthcare. This role involves working on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies, from prototype to verification builds, within a regulated medical device environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the design of complex DV fixtures from initial requirements and concept generation through to detailed drawings, design reviews, and print release.

    + Support product-level design work as needed.

    + Identify and implement improvements in the lineup of DV fixtures.

    + Assist in the development of firmware and software requirements for fixtures.

    + Author and maintain documentation related to fixture designs and DV tests.

    + Perform fixture qualifications and process validations.

    + Maintain disciplined test, configuration control, documentation, and configuration management processes.

    + Support various multi-disciplinary technical and process improvement projects of diverse sizes and scopes.

    + Facilitate vendor communications and resolve procurement issues.

    + Manage and communicate assigned projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    Essential Skills

    + 8+ years of experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environments.

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a closely related field.

    + Experience in heavily-regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace.

    + Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems.

    + Knowledge of industry best practices for the development of complex electromechanical systems.

    + Demonstrated proficiency in CAD, with Solidworks preferred.

    + Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

    + A working knowledge of drafting standards, including GD&T (Y14.5-2018).

    + Outstanding documentation and communication skills.

    + Proficiency in using MS Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with V&V (Verification & Validation) is a plus.

    + Experience in design transfer/new product introduction is highly desired.

    + A working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/A), Six Sigma, and statistical tolerance analysis.

    + Proficiency in developing production and fixture documentation, including bills of material (BOMs) and assembly drawings.

    + Experience with statistical tools and software such as Minitab.

    + Experience using, modifying, and programming in MATLAB Simulink or LabView.

    + Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership.

    + Experience in project management, including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structures.

    + Ability to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
