General Summary:
The candidate will be supporting the Automotive Business Unit’s quickly growing business. The role is a hybrid finance and accounting role focused on growing and evolving the business processes, including those related to financial modeling & forecasting, ad hoc return-on-investment (ROI), OPEX and accounting impact analyses. The candidate will collaborate directly with BU stakeholders to support the strategic trajectory of the business.
Pricing strategy, financial modeling, and pricing execution
+ Build, improve, and maintain complex financial models
+ Present financial assumptions, models, and ROI
+ Track and monitor impact of hiring needs and OPEX growth as the business expands
+ Maintain pricing and deal tracking across key financial systems
+ Organize data and create dashboards for ad hoc, monthly, and quarterly presentation of financial performance related to the business
+ Evaluate accounting impact of the more complex deals in the professional services business and work strategically with the business to steer desirable accounting outcomes through contract structure
Financial planning and analysis (FP&A):
+ Support quarterly and annual forecasting process with input preparation and analysis
+ Analyze financial results, key business metrics, and drivers of financial performance
+ Create P&L presentations and variance analyses
+ Provide day to day financial support for Automotive BU’s SW and professional services business
+ Analyze and evaluate the OPEX impact of deals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, program management, operations, sales, and legal:
+ Support new business opportunities and create ad hoc financial models, as necessary
+ Present various analyses and financial support to Auto BU senior leadership team
+ Support various ad hoc special projects
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting
+ 2+ years with a public accounting firm
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and communication, both written and verbal
+ Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environment
+ Organized, accurate and detail-oriented
+ Tableau and Cognos TM1 (or similar) experience is preferred

Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:
$88,000.00 - $132,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
