Summary of Position
Coordinate all course section creation schedules and manage enrollments for Central Campus, including the distance learning program. Coordinate Dual Credit face-to-face course schedules for KISD , CCISD , and the Service Area. Communicate enrollment projects to necessary departments. Coordinate all course section creation schedules for the sites outside of Texas. The Lead Scheduler is responsible for all course scheduling duties in the absence of the Associate Registrar of Operations.
Minimum Required Education
An Associate’s degree from a nationally, regional, or identified state-level accredited institution of higher learning is required, or two years of college (60 credits) with required experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Minimum Required Experience
Three years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in data management. If 60 semester hours, three years’ student services/registration experience in a higher education. Prefer experience in higher education records and registration using student information system ( SIS ), and working with military. One year supervisory/management experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Excellent computer, technical, and organizational skills. Able to use student information systems. Able to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email on a daily basis.
+ Possess initiative, creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness in fulfilling work assignments and implementing long-range program improvement.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, supervise projects and daily tasks effectively and in a timely manner.
+ Communicate effectively; both orally and in writing with diverse student population, colleagues of all levels.
+ Evaluate sources of problems and research possible solutions; • Learn and adapt in a changing environment;
+ Team player who takes initiative and helps out with any task that needs completion.
+ Maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials.
+ Ability to learn hands on and have strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to make frequent independent judgment as it relates to the standard policies, practices, and functions of the college.
+ Preferred knowledge of Colleague Student Application;
+ Distance Learning deadlines and events
+ AI Portal program: contractual obligations and penalties;
+ General Knowledge of Blackboard/ ILP , Ad Astra and working knowledge of Informer
Salary 1J/Per Salaried pay scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - M-TH 7:30am-5:30pm F 7:30am-11:30am, Other - Evenings & Weekends as needed, Overtime, describe requirements - Overtime when requested and approved prior to schedule
