CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer III opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.
**Location:** Must be able to work a 3 day/week hybrid schedule in either Wilmington, DE or Buffalo, NY.
**Duration:** 6 months
Overview:
+ Serves as an advanced technologist for an individual technology or set of technologies.
+ Works closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams to implement and manage technical solutions that meet or exceed the organization's current and future needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions.
+ Perform infrastructure review, implementation, design, documentation creation, and analysis.
+ Regularly interact with business partners across various management levels to ensure alignment on requirements and outcomes.
+ Coordinate vendor interactions and manage vendor resources as necessary.
+ Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators, and review documentation and proposals.
+ Expand knowledge and understanding of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies.
+ Follow and promote the use of industry best practices, standards, and procedures.
+ Maintain a strong working knowledge of Bank applications, systems, development environments, and vendor technologies.
+ Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards.
+ Promote an environment of diversity and inclusion in line with M&T Bank’s brand values.
+ Maintain internal control standards and address audit points or issues raised by regulators.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
+ Acts as an advanced technologist and subject matter expert within assigned technologies.
+ Provides input and recommendations on system architecture, design, and future direction.
+ Plays a key role in project planning and execution within the technical infrastructure space.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
+ No direct supervisory responsibilities; however, mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff is expected.
Education and Experience Required:
+ Combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
+ Azure Cloud, Terraform, Scripting
+ Ansible, Windows OS, Linux OS, Python
+ GitLab, CICD
Education and Experience Preferred:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
+ Minimum of 6 years professional experience in a technical engineering role focusing on infrastructure design technologies, data management, system design, or development for complex applications.
+ Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into structured technical solutions.
+ Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
+ Expertise in industry and vendor technologies and services.
+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
+ Effective facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
+ Strong knowledge of server/client and virtualization technologies.
+ Adaptable and quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
+ Must be able to work a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite in Wilmington, DE or Buffalo, NY.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
