    CTG is seeking to fill a Quality Engineer SDET opening for our client in New York, NY.

     

    **Location:** New York, NY

    **Duration:** 11 months

    Duties:

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and software engineers, to define and maintain quality standards.

    + Implement and promote continuous testing practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

    + Design, build, and manage robust manual and automated test suites for feature and regression testing.

    + Oversee execution of tests, ensuring full coverage aligned with acceptance criteria and user journeys.

    + Document test cases with clarity and accuracy, and develop test sets independently.

    + Pair with engineers to ensure automated tests are embedded as part of the development workflow.

    + Drive the creation and execution of test strategies for complex systems and applications.

    Skills:

    + Proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test plans based on business requirements.

    + Strong experience in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).

    + Solid programming/scripting experience in languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.

    + Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and test reporting tools.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Experience:

    + 6+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).

    + Proven track record of developing and maintaining automated test suites.

    + Experience testing complex applications and APIs.

    + Demonstrated ability to work closely with development teams in agile environments.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
