Sr. Automation Systems Technician – 1st Shift

How You'll Create Possibilities
Equipment Expertise
+ Be the go-to technical resource for troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems and PLCs in your area.
+ Diagnose and resolve issues with robotics, servos, scanners, and other advanced systems.
+ Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by ensuring maximum equipment availability, performance, and quality.
+ Collaborate with Engineering to implement necessary equipment upgrades.
+ Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and refine Preventative Maintenance Plans.
Safety Champion
+ Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
+ Employ proper PPE and Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
+ Foster a culture of safety in every task you undertake.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Requirements:
+ **Education:** Associate degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Technology, Robotics, or related field.
+ **Experience:** 3+ years in automation or electrical systems within high-volume manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Expertise with PLCs (preferably GE/Emerson) and Fanuc robots.
+ Solid understanding of control, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
+ Solid understanding how PLCs, Robots, and other automation equipment work and the ability to set up, program, and maintain this equipment.
+ Proven problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze automation equipment issues to implement solutions.
+ Advanced computer skills – high proficiency in Microsoft office products with the ability to grasp new systems quickly.
+ Solid verbal/written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to collaborate with hourly and salary personnel to meet the needs of operators and the shop.
+ High initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results oriented.
+ Eligible to work overtime based on business needs.
