Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Lure Operator to join our team in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Lure Operator, you will be responsible for operating the mechanical lure effectively for each official race ensuring a consistent and safe distance is used between the lure and the greyhounds. What will you do?

+ Follow all rules of racing and applicable racing policies

+ Maintain the condition of the rheostat and other mechanical devices used in lure operation, ensuring proper maintenance of the mechanical lure system, rail, and associated parts

+ Conduct morning schooling sessions as required, and inspect the lure rail before each performance to ensure no objects obstruct the lure motor

+ Report any mechanical problems with the lure system and retrieve paperwork from the racing office for the judges

+ Perform as a team member and assist fellow team members to ensure smooth operation

More about you

+ Greyhound racing experience is preferred but not required

+ No experience or degree required

Physical requirements

+ Ability to lift 50-100 pounds to assist in changing lure motor when needed
