Infrastructure Services Team owns the underlying technologies that supports Pega Cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product. Pega Cloud is a growing $300M+ business with a 35% market growth. As a key member to the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will work with multiple subject matter experts that are responsible for deploying an end-to-end solution. You will be part of the Infrastructure Tribe, working on cloud deployments running on AWS and GCP as well as Kubernetes, Istio, and Observability products. Contributing to a variety of technologies, vendors, architectures, implementation, and support.
What You'll Do at Pega:
+ Design, build and operate highly available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform
+ Provide leadership to engineering teams that build Cloud Services following the established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality standards.
+ Develop, inspire, mentor, and evaluate the engineering team by providing technical training plans, career growth guidance, and continuous feedback.
+ Enable the teams to deliver functionality by collaborating with multiple stakeholders including cross functional teams, architects, product owners, scrum masters and others.
+ Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
+ Identifying the need for training and talent development.
+ Review designs and code and provide meaningful feedback, and the detail orientation to follow-up on all technical topics.
+ Advocate technical excellence and strong software engineering best practices.
+ Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
+ Facilitate innovation to drive towards engineering excellence

+ You are a skilled Architect and Leader, managed/led a team of software developers
+ You excel at providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Working with them to ensure timely and successful project deliveries
+ You are experienced and passionate about cloud technologies, you enjoy exploring and applying these skills to solve real business problems
+ You excel at partnering with internal clients & product managers to align implementation with business goals & outcomes
+ You have worked in SaaS Product development environments
What You've Accomplished:
+ 9 + years of software development experience, preferably in a Software Product Development company 2+ years as Technical Lead or Manager
+ Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, with an ability to implement code that meets engineering excellence standard with minimal oversight
+ Skilled at designing microservices-based architecture, leveraging Cloud-native design patterns and serverless frameworks, with emphasis on scalability and HA
+ Exposed to design and development of scalable services on cloud using Java/Go-Lang, container (Docker) and AWS/GCP/Azure
+ Good knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code (Helm/Terraform/Cloudformation)
+ Very good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (having CKAD certification is a plus)
+ Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and deployment/management of containerized applications on Kubernetes
+ Knowledge of networking is a plus
+ Good Communication skills
+ Exposed to Microservice (Lifecycle management), Kubernetes, Multi-tenancy (infrastructure), Multi-cloud, Cloud migration of the system, or any combination of these.
+ Bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science (or related experience/field)
