    If you are interested in playing a pivotal role in refining precision health testing this opportunity is for you! We are seeking a Gas Chromatography Laboratory Technician to join our growing team.

     

    **Location:** Buncombe County, NC

    **Terms:** Contract to Hire

    **Salary Range:** $18-$22/hr DOE + Shift Diff

    Shift Information:

    + **2nd Shift** : Wednesday-Saturday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (includes a $2/hr shift differential)

    + **1st Shift** : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekends with a $2/hr shift differential)

    Job Description:

    + Process and analyze patient samples using gas chromatography techniques.

    + Monitor and ensure the quality control (QC) of lab processes, maintaining accuracy and precision.

    + Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure they are functioning optimally.

    + Report patient results in a timely and accurate manner.

    + Perform routine lab maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments.

    + Follow safety and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards.

    + Successfully pass a colorblind test as part of the qualification process.

    Qualifications:

    + **Education** : Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Chemical Science, or MLT Certification.

    + **Experience** : Previous industry experience is preferred but not required.

    + **Skills** :

    + Knowledge of gas chromatography processes and sample analysis techniques.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

    + Proficient in the use of laboratory instruments and technologies.

    + **Communication** : Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with the team.

    + **Schedule Flexibility** : Ability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts, with occasional weekends.

    + **Additional Compensation** : Eligible for an extra $2/hr for shift differential and weekend work.
