The Position:

British Swim School of Buffalo is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Deck Ambassadors!

Deck Ambassadors at British Swim School of Buffalo manage site operations with a focus on customer service and retention. They adhere strictly to British Swim School policies and procedures to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Create a positive first impression and facilitate proper orientation for new customers.

+ Set up, maintain, and break down on-site marketing materials, merchandise, and equipment.

+ Manage class schedules, attendance, and lesson board.

+ Assist instructors from the pool deck during lessons as needed.

+ Maintain safety and cleanliness across all areas of the pool deck, ensuring adherence to all pool safety regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.

+ Work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

+ Work in an environment where noise levels are typically moderate to high.

+ Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Manager or Franchise Business Owner.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Have a high school diploma, equivalent certification, or be currently pursuing one.

+ Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational capabilities.

+ Must have a positive attitude.

+ Must be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience working with children.

+ Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.

+ Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred

At British Swim School, we are more than just a fun, surface-level swim lesson provider. We invest in quality team members to teach our lessons with the mindset that we are two schools in one, a survival school first and a learn-to-swim school second. Our mission is to ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
