How You’ll Make an Impact

Responsible to begin maintaining SAP best practice solution approach to minimize custom code. Responsible to learn Valvoline Business Processes and module integrations to prevent erroneous configuration/development. Provides technical support in the analysis, documentation and configuration of break/fix issues. Applies knowledge of integration testing and day-to-day support following the established change and release management processes. Assists with the configuration and testing of new functionality as requested by the business. Coordinates with IT colleagues on continuous improvement or cross-functional teams.

Responsible to begin leading and supporting projects related to small enhancement of existing processes and integration of new business processes. Works with business partners to understand their needs / requirements for new / changed functionality. Act as functional (FI) contact and lead on assigned SAP implementation projects who will implement required functionality.

Learn cross functional skill sets into FI/SC. Provides application support for less junior SAP Analysts while maintaining ITIL service levels. Cooperates with consultants from other modules such as AP/AR/OTB/COPA/MM/ABAP/Analytics Provides effort estimates for small system enhancements and any new functionality.

Has in-depth understanding of configuration best practices. Understands the scope and relationships of large features and modules of SAP Finance. Performs complex configuration tasks. Writes functional specifications for small to medium features. Writes and executes test plans. Given a large or medium understood problem, can design and implement a solution. Shows initiative to learn. Shows initiative and offers assistance when needed without being asked. Works well with technical leads.

Responsibilities Include

1. Provides day to day process support through Service Now incident tickets. Assist business partners with auditing activities by providing data, reports, or other information to satisfy auditor requests 20%

2. Act as Senior Module (IM/PS/FA) Consultant and lead on assigned SAP implementation projects who will implement required functionality. Works with business partners on small enhancement or larger projects to resolve process issues or meet new business requirements while maintaining an SAP best practice approach to reduce custom code. You should be able to take requests from or provide system / process improvement ideas to your business partners.

• Document business requirements

• Perform analysis and functional and/or technical design and estimate solution for implementation while coordinating with technical / development resources.

• Charter project and send through governance to obtain project resources and establish timing

• Perform configuration for modules in your area of responsibility

• Test solution during development to determine areas of improvement

• Coordinate or assist with data gathering, data review, data loads and process education

• Implement solution into production system

• Support business partners during hyper care immediately after go-live of new functionality

3. Transition new functionality/process to support

4. Works with business partners on opportunity assessment / proof of concept investigations as a key input into future business optimization projects

5. Acts as a project manager for projects in their area of responsibility. This will include managing a project team of internal resources or consultants to deliver a final solution to business partners based on their requirements. It will also involve supporting the business partner leads on the project as well.

6. Maintain relationships with key business partner stakeholders

7. Works with IT colleagues to ensure best practices are followed for security, compliance, change management and release management. Collaborates internally with other team members on continuous improvement and/or on cross-functional teams. May coach junior team members.

8. Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information management, or a related field.

+ **Minimum 8 years of experience required**

Preferred:

+ Overall 8+ Years of business and IT experience

+ 4-5 years of SAP Investment Management, Project Systems, and Fixed asset module project implementation experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of experience

+ 2+ years integration experience with other finance process areas

+ 2+ years leadership experience on SAP implementation projects

+ Experience configuring multiple SAP modules OR experience across multiple industries such as Food, Chemicals, Life Sciences, Pharma, Oil & Gas etc.

+ Experience in multiple, full lifecycle SAP implementations

+ Prior experience as Supply Chain User desired

What Will Set You Apart

Ability to:

+ Design/build/test across the lifecycle of SAP Project for configuration and working with development team on specs and testing.

+ Strong knowledge of **SAP Investment Management, Project Systems, and Fixed asset** and finance and their related functions

+ Analytical review: Ability to reverse engineer existing processes to analyze customizations and then evaluate change request feasibility before breaking downstream processes. Creation of Functional Specifications, end user documentation. Evaluate change request vs process design. (e.g. Does change agree or break with design?)

+ Interface with key stakeholders - must be very strong with client facing with challenging personalities

+ Train users in master data management, new business processes, transactional activity, and report execution;

+ Support end users during hyper care immediately after go-live for the new SAP Production Planning solution; and

+ Collaborate internally with other team members on continuous improvement.

+ Act as project manager for smaller fiance projects.

+ Interact effectively with offshore team members

+ Implement baseline solution, with local variations as required

+ Maintain SAP best practice solution approach to reduce custom code.
