Job Description

The Senior Industrial Engineer 2 position is a seasoned technical expert with high degree of innovative and conceptual thinking. In this individual contributor role, the Sr IE2 applies advanced technical methods and discipline, provides end to end business and customer expertise , to recommend and devise efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, and information to deliver a complex product, process, or system. This person should have advanced industry intelligence to provide creative solutions for automation to further simplify work flows and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Independently leads:

+ Process obsessed, eliminates waste, and optimizes using continuous improvement methodology to lead and provide Supply Chain solutions for current and future operations.

+ Develops and maintains process flow maps for all processes in scope.

+ Has extensive experience with collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing large amounts of data . Has deep understanding of data intersection points and a keen awareness /insight to root causes of variance s , discrepancies, and unlocks ambiguity.

+ Provides a dvanced engagement on alternatives for process, equipment, and system design.

+ Leverages process knowledge of distribution and fulfillment centers to identify network-wide improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and iterates current state to the desired future state.

+ Propose s process improvements that often require evaluation of MHE, mechanization, and/or automation.

+ Conducts time and motion studies and approves engineered labor standard s . Mentors engineers up-pyramid and validates methods, procedures, data, and results.

+ Utilizes information on Labor standards to identify areas of opportunity that will reduce the gap between operational performance and the engineered labor standards .

+ Champions, influences, and leads Standard Work efforts for network-wide solutions. Partners with Continuous Improvement to ensure changes to Standard Work are reflected in visual training guides.

+ Expert level understanding of technical documentation including architectural, mechanical, electrical and software to assess designs and issues as required , with minimal guidance from manager.

+ A subject matter expert (SME) in discrete event simulations focused on intricate network modeling . Advances modeling skills to include enhanced programming capabilities.

+ Leads high complexity and/or large scope projects ($1M+) involving MHE, technology, robotics and/or difficult phasing. Projects may span multiple sites.

+ Works with Sr. Leadership, across business units and/or markets, to deliver data driven processes and solutions .

+ Develops specific business cases and requirements for innovative system solutions/capability unlocks networkwide.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ 8- 10 + years’ Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Experience

+ 3+ years’ experience within a Supply Chain Distribution Fulfillment environment

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial and Systems Engineering ; Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain or equivalent preferred

+ Ability to travel 50-75%

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

California: $121,000-$199,000 USD Annual, Washington: $121,000-$199,000 USD Annual

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
