Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Staff Accountant Intern to join our accounting team. This position offers hands-on experience with core accounting functions and exposure to a fast-paced, aviation-focused finance department. You'll assist in financial reporting, account reconciliation, invoicing, and various operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
+ Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.
+ Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts.
+ Support month-end and year-end close processes.
+ Help with accounts payable and receivable processing.
+ Prepare and analyze financial reports and spreadsheets.
+ Conduct data entry and ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
+ Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting as needed.
+ Support ad hoc financial projects and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
+ Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
+ Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred).
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
