**Harborview Medical Center's Chest Clinic** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Part-time Days Patient Services Specialist, (job profile: Patient Services Specialist 3)** .
WORK SCHEDULE
+ 50% FTE, Days
+ Monday & Tuesday 8am-430pm Wednesday 8am-12noon **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

+ Opportunity to provide career growth **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The Chest Clinic at Harborview cares for patients with respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, asbestosis, emphysema, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis, cavitary lung disease, bronchiectasis, occupational lung disease and pleural effusions.We also provide smoking cessation assistance, pulmonary function testing, fiber optic bronchoscopy, lung cancer screening and thoracentesis services. **RESPONSIBLITITES**
+ Check-in/check-out of patients and scheduling appointments
+ Monitoring, tracking and obtaining insurance authorizations for patients
+ Processing incoming patient referrals
+ Communicating with insurance payers and updating insurance clearance process and procedures for clinic
+ Rescheduling patients when the provider calls out
+ Triaging and responding to patient messages
+ Creates and updates provider schedules
+ Assists in orienting and training new staff in work area **QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ Three years of Patient Support Service experience **OR**
