    Your Opportunity

    The Information and Communications Technology Consultant performs basic technical duties under the supervision of a Information and Communications Technology Senior Consultant or Project Manager. Understands and identifies project requirements and performs independent technical work on tasks within one’s own discipline. Provides guidance to Production Coordinator on completion of duties.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    + Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.

    + Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.

    + Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer;

    + Provides QC review and approves small scale projects as requested by the technical authority.

    + Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g. attend meetings / seminars / conferences and/or write articles for trade magazines.)

    + Performs duties to assist or act as the project designer as follows:

    + Gives input or creates plans to complete tasks within the project timeline and budget, identifies required precursors from other disciplines in a timely fashion.

    + Fully understands and advises clients of Stantec’s service offerings.

    + Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.

    + Identifies and reports potential roadblocks and competing client and co-worker priorities that may inhibit the ability to maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.

    Qualifications

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    + Possesses advanced knowledge of ICT design principles for Telecommunications Spaces, in-building backbone and horizontal cabling and Outside Plant (OSP) systems, along basic knowledge of practices and principles of other disciplines as they relate to ICT design.

    + Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) best practices.

    + Possesses comprehensive knowledge of nomenclature, design techniques, materials, details, system components, construction techniques, related Structured Cabling Systems, and building codes.

    + Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, technical procedures, and government regulations.

    + Proficient in applicable software (i.e. AutoCAD. Bluebeam, and Revit).

    + Strong communicator who effectively conveys scope and coordination items to clients, vendors, and co-workers.

    + Adept at writing comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

    + Displays effective organization and time management skills with projects, reports and other duties; effectively manages multiple priorities and is punctual and dependable.

    Education and Experience

    + Experience with ICT design within Data Centers is preferred.

    + Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.

    + Minimum 4 years related industry experience preferred.

    + Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Outside Plant (OSP), Data Center Designer (DCDC), or Project Manager (RTMP) or other professional certification based on area of expertise preferred.

    Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):

    Salary Range(s):

    * $76,600 - $111,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO, HI, MD and IL

     

    The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

     

    **Benefits Summary:** Regular full-time and part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.     Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
