Automation Quality Assurance Analyst
Position
The Comptroller’s Division of Technology Solutions (TS) provides technology services and support to the Office’s Divisions and Boards. We are seeking an innovative, detail-oriented Automation Quality Assurance Analyst who will collaborate closely with development teams to enhance quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
In this role, you will drive both manual and automated testing efforts, partnering with agile teams to identify, design, and implement comprehensive testing strategies. You will also empower teams by integrating testing seamlessly into development workflows and promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
An individual in this position will also be expected to:
+ Partner with development teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for automated testing.
+ Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript libraries and C# libraries.
+ Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines to support reliable, consistent deployments.
+ Execute manual testing activities, including validation of user stories, regression testing, and feature verification.
+ Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging tools and technologies to continuously evolve our testing capabilities.
+ Conduct integration, user acceptance, and performance testing in collaboration with product owners and development teams.
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to expand test automation across projects, promoting industry best practices.
+ Foster strong communication and alignment with other QA professionals to ensure a consistent and comprehensive testing strategy.
Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
+ Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in:
+ Defining business needs and translating them into integrated and unit test cases.
+ Developing automated tests using JavaScript and C#.
+ Integrating tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
+ Testing user stories and software features within an Agile framework.
+ Agile Certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)) is a plus.
+ Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
To be successful in this role, a candidate will benefit from a strong track record of supporting software delivery teams and have a good understanding of Agile Methods, especially Scrum. This position requires interpersonal skills to build trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team members, to communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and customers. A strong candidate will be research savvy and serve as a subject matter expert in current industry-wide quality and test processes, tools, and technologies.

The Office of the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury is responsible for the audit of state and local governmental entities and participates in the general financial and administrative management and oversight of state government. The Office is led by Comptroller Jason E. Mumpower, a constitutional officer who is elected by the Tennessee General Assembly.

Compensation
The position is contracted through a third-party vendor that will provide all compensation information.
