Senior Director Innovation Portfolios

General Summary
Is a key contributor to transformational efforts, driving execution of the health system's strategic plan which has prioritized innovation as a key pillar. This role is special, combining leadership in innovation and ventures with a deep focus on advancing transformational initiatives impacting healthcare across the continuum. This position plays a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare, making a significant impact on both the organization and the broader healthcare landscape.
Essential Functions:
+ Leads a department in ensuring a great partner experience when working with WellSpan Innovations.
+ Relationship management inside WellSpan- Serves as the organization's Innovations business partner.- Monitors and analyzes the health technology landscape and provides business colleagues with insights and recommendations as input for business strategy development (ventures-as-a-service).- Engages proactively and reactively with business unit leaders to identify and analyze opportunities for innovation (innovation-as-a-service).- Advocates on behalf of internal partners as part of the master Innovation strategy roadmap planning process.
+ Account and relationship management for outside commercial business- Services as the primary point of contact for commercial clients.- Provides account management with intent to deliver value, ensure a great client experience and identify new business opportunities.- Contributes to the external positioning strategy, business development and network development for commercial businesses.
+ Ventures relationship management and portfolio development- Cultivates, forms and nurtures global venture relationships to support deal flow and thought leadership.- Collaborates on new investment due diligence.- Supports portfolio company collaboration with WellSpan as their primary point of contact to ensure they get maximum value from their collaboration and to ensure WellSpan gets maximum value as a client.- Monitors and reports on the performance, growth and impact of portfolio companies.
+ Mentors colleagues within the Innovation Division and beyond. Serves the organization as an expert on innovation-related subjects such health technology, entrepreneurialism and start-ups, and industry innovation trends.
+ Participates in WellSpan Innovations Governance meetings to show case work, pitch new focus areas and inform key decisions.
Travel Requirements:
+ Estimated Amount: 30% - Able to travel for regional team meetings and nationally for external client meetings or conferences.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
+ Bachelors Degree Required
+ Masters Degree Preferred
Work Experience:
+ 10+ years Experience in human-centered design, digital health and/or innovation. Required
+ Experience working in a consulting firm. Preferred
