Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting Mitchell County Regional Health Center (MCRHC) in the use of the electronic scheduling & medical record systems and clinic process improvement initiatives. The Associate Clinical Informatics Analyst provides support in process improvement and projects related to professional clinic practice, information management and clinical information systems to achieve clinical care transformation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

+ Associate degree in health-related field, business or computers preferred or commitment to complete within five years of hire.

+ Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistant or nursing program. (LPN, RN)

+ If RN, current RN licensure in the State of Iowa.

+ Certification as a medical assistant is preferred.

Experience:

+ A minimum of two years of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting.

+ Progressive clinical and/or administrative experiences that demonstrate success.

Additional Experience:

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 3 years.
