We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will focus on leading the evaluation, allocation, and tracking of requirements throughout the development cycle, ensuring supportability for security certification. This position involves both hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities, including overseeing systems engineering teams and providing technical project management.
Responsibilities:
+ Identifying and resolving issues within existing systems while designing and implementing new systems and enhancing existing ones.
+ Participating in the analysis, design, and construction of next-generation IT systems, ensuring they meet rigorous security and performance standards.
+ Understanding customer needs and aligning them with commercially available IT products to create actionable and implementable requirements for the development team.
+ Working with various technologies including telecommunications (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux), databases (Oracle, MS Access, Sybase), and applications (Tivoli, PeopleSoft).
+ Applying ITIL and SEI/CMM principles to systems engineering processes to ensure effective and streamlined development workflows.
+ Providing oversight and management of systems engineering teams, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet client expectations.
+ Offering leadership and technical project management support to engineering teams and projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of key systems.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience, OR an associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience.
+ Proven experience as a systems engineer across one or more IT platforms.
+ DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II certification.
+ Computing Environment (CE) certification, such as Microsoft OS, Cent OS, or Red Hat OS.
+ Experience with technologies such as Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM), and MS Exchange.
+ If assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services:
+ Understanding of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling).
+ TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Skills:
+ Deep expertise in IT systems engineering across multiple IT platforms, including telecommunications protocols and infrastructure management.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee and guide systems engineering teams to success.
+ In-depth experience with next-generation system construction and securing IT environments for high-performance, secure use cases.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$119,800 - $263,600
