Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Technical Consultant - Signal Engineering** to join our team! In this role you will get to lead signal team in design/construction railroad projects.
Job Description:
Leads or consults on the execution of advanced solution strategies.
Provides technical expertise; SME (Subject Matter Expert).
Works with company leadership and Project Managers to deliver professional technical services and solutions.
Maximizes customer operational performance by providing resources and technical advice.
Resolves escalated problems and follows through to closure.
Establishes professional relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, operations, quality assurances, management).
Collaborates and integrates with other team members and disciplines to ensure safe and efficient improvements are completed.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Skills and Competencies:
Develop signal designs and coordinate construction and conduct multi-discipline reviews to ensure a coordinated construction approach is performed
Ensures compliance with required Federal Railroad Administration regulations, agencies specifications and standards, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association recommendations, and railroad industry standards.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and administrative skills
Ability to analyze and interpret complex information from various sources; decision best way to move forward
Exceptional ability to work well with others
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply best industry practices and regulations
Advanced problem solving, judgement, and decision making skills; understanding current and future implications
Ability to understand related technical impact with current and future situations
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within budget
Demonstrated ability to provide technical support in a demanding work environment
Ability to understand complex and in-depth technical situations and related business challenges
Required Skills:
Minimum of 20 years experience in railroad signal design/construction for commuter railroads in North America. Must have experience with cab and wayside signal technology.
Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience of at least 5 staff in the railroad signal industry.
Experience working on complex signal networks and territories.
Must have strong understanding of standards and regulations required for installations on following type territories: LIRR, Amtrak, NJ Transit and Septa.
Experience presenting** **information/assessments** **to senior personnel

Salary Range: $155,600.00 - $280,100.00
