    Summary:

    Facilities engineering point of contact for coordination of Capital Projects managed by Hospital construction departments.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Facilitate technical review of designs and coordinate design review with engineering trade managers including fire safety.

     

    Assist in tracing and identification of existing systems and equipment.

     

    Ensure Project Managers comply with engineering pre-construction check list.

     

    Ensure designs comply with facility design standards.

     

    Perform construction observation and coordinate reviews with engineering trade managers.

     

    Primary point of contact for shutdowns. Maintain shutdown tracking report and schedule.

     

    Primary point of contact for existing system testing and measuring.

     

    Primary point of contact for new system testing, balancing and flushing.

     

    Primary point of contact for commissioning and functional testing.

     

    Ensure Project Managers comply with engineering close-out check list.

     

    Ensure project documentation both electronic and hard copies are submitted and archived. Manage and maintain drawing room.

     

    Engineering representative for PCRA, ICRA & ILSM reviews.

     

    Engineering representative at project review and coordination meetings.

     

    Knowledgeable in all aspects of Hospital Construction and Safety Policies.

     

    Update Life Safety Drawings indicating all active construction projects.

     

    Prepare and maintain a project status list for all facility capital projects

     

    For all facility capital projects, collect and maintain the following documentation: o PCRA documents

     

    Pre-construction checklist

     

    Design review comments by Facilities Engineering

     

    Construction punch-list comments by Facilities Engineering

     

    Latest project meeting minutes

     

    Construction close-out checklist

     

    Shutdown forms and associated MOP’s

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in project management or related field preferred

    Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
