The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Alexandria, MN is seeking a compassionate, person centered Clinical Social Worker to join our team. Operated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, CBHH is a small (16-bed) inpatient psychiatric facility for adults experiencing acute mental health episodes. The length of stay is usually less than 60 days, during which treatment focuses on rapid assessment and stabilization for adults experiencing an acute mental health episode.

Responsibilities include:

+ Provide integrated mental health care and social work services to patients

+ Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans

+ Provide evidence–based crisis intervention psychotherapy as an independent practitioner

+ Facilitate patient and family education as well as weekly group therapy

+ Maintain appropriate and effective relations with community providers

+ Prepare aftercare plans that outlines the client's course through treatment and needs/resources in the community

+ Facilitate active treatment team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

Clinical Program Therapist 3:

To qualify, applicants must meet the requirements for Clinical Trainee as defined in MN Statute 245I.04, subdivision 6 (https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/245I.04#stat.245I.04.2) and must meet one of the following criteria:

• Have a master’s degree in social work; and

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker; and

• Must be in the process of or working toward obtaining a license as a Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW); and

• Have at least one (1) year of post-master’s degree experience providing clinical services including individual and group therapy.

Clinical Program Therapist 4:

+ Master's or doctorate in psychology, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; and

+ Licensure/Certification in the State of Minnesota as an independent behavioral health professional as an LICSW
