This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.
You will provide high-level para-professional engineering services that ensure safe and efficient public water service and wastewater treatment systems for selected transportation facilities (Public Rest Areas, Mn/DOT District Offices, Truck Stations, and Weigh Scale Sites). This includes to lead comprehensive field investigations, data collection, and translate findings into compliant design and construction documentation, developing construction plans and specifications, managing multiple design and construction projects, and performing field surveys and data collection.
You will also provide site design services for small (<1-acre) building projects, administer site paving projects, and perform other small site civil tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
T **hree (3) years of advanced para-engineering experience at the Engineering Specialist level (or equivalent) that demonstrates all the following:**
+ **Experience with design software: AutoCAD or AUTOCAD Civil 3D**
+ Experience with wastewater treatment design to evaluate designs, identify unsafe features, and recommend revisions.
+ Experience with site design, grading, utility design, and SWPPP provisions.
+ Experience managing projects from initial site evaluation to final closeout, including all phases such as bidding, contract administration, and project review.
+ Communication skills both oral and written sufficient to explain complex data to all audiences in person, over the phone, in written email or via presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Onsite Septic Designers and Inspectors Licenses through continuing education with the University of Minnesota.
