You’ll support the Nurse Manager in long-term planning, staff development, and resource management—all while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
+ **Leadership in Action** : Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Nurse Manager, maintaining accountability and guiding the team with confidence.
+ **Strategic Contribution** : Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement department goals and objectives aligned with our organizational mission, philosophy, and strategic plans.
+ **Excellence in Patient Care** : Ensure that patient care is safe, ethical, and meets the highest standards, promoting the MAGIS values and Magnet principles.
+ **Quality Improvement** : Lead and support quality initiatives, including participation in core measure projects, National Patient Safety Goals, and evidence-based research.
+ **Regulatory Compliance** : Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and participate in reviewing and updating unit policies and procedures.
+ **Staff Development** : Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified staff, ensuring the right team is in place to meet patient and family care needs.
What We’re Looking For:
+ **Active Registered Nurse License** in the State of Illinois.
+ **Education** : Associate's degree required; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
+ **Experience** : 2-3 years of job-related experience required; 3-5 years preferred. Designated/charge nurse experience is a plus. Preceptor or advance clinical ladder is preferred.
+ **Certifications** : BLS required, ACLS preferred; specialty certification in a clinical area is a plus.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $40.46 hr.- $64.74 hr.
_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
