    Description:

    Provides health care services for trauma, acute care, and surgical critical care patients under the direction of collaborating trauma and surgical critical care surgeons. Contributes to excellence in outcomes for trauma and surgical critical care patients by focusing on age-specific, developmental, and spiritual needs and serving as a role model in patient care, consulting, teaching, and leadership.

    Job Requirements:

    + Masters Degree in Medicine as Physician Assistant; or Master's Degree with Michigan Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

    + Current Michigan Nursing License as an Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

    + Current BLS and ACLS provider status.

    + Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) provider status within Six months of hire.

    + Demonstrates continuity within the team, attention to detail, and flexibility. Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Must be self-motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented, and demonstrate initiative; must be able to work with minimal supervision.

    + Trauma or Critical Care experience preferred.
