**Job Title:** Assembly Technician
**Location:** Redmond, WA
**Pay:** $27.50 per hour
**Shift:** Fri-Sun, 6pm-7am
Job Summary:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, testing and calibrating components and mechanisms to meet strict tolerances and product specifications. This role involves the use of hand and power tools to perform assembly according to defined standards, identifying units that fail to meet specifications, and performing necessary repairs. The position operates under direct supervision, following pre-established guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assemble fabricated parts at designated floor stations.
+ Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.
+ Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
+ Identify malfunctioning units or those not meeting tolerances and conduct necessary repairs.
+ Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
+ Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) as needed, adhering to operational and safety standards.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ 2–4 years of relevant experience in assembly or a related field preferred.
+ Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty may be required.
+ Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and established guidelines.
+ Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with machinery and tools.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
+ Lifting typically does not exceed 30 lbs. and does not involve significant repetition.
+ Moderate exposure to machinery and environmental risks (chemical, biological, physical).
+ Operation of powered industrial equipment may involve heavy exposure depending on conditions.
+ Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on work area and task.
Supervision:
+ Works under immediate supervision.
+ Reports to a supervisor or manager.
+ Tasks generally do not require independent judgment.
