    What you need to know

     

    Salary: $71,219 to $87,069 ( commensurate to selected hire’s experience)

     

    Schedule: This is a full time, afternoon/evening position from 2-10:00p.m.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Six years of related experience in the setup and operation of audio-visual and computing equipment used to support synchronous, virtual classrooms, including 3 years of related experience in leadership roles such as project management, training and development, program management, or instructional innovation.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + MS, MA, or PhD degree in a relevant field

    + Seven years of leadership experience in instructional technology, digital learning environments, or related functions.

    + Proven success managing vendor relationships and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

    + Four or more years of experience hiring, supervising, and evaluating full-time staff.

    + Experience working closely with instructional technologists and faculty to integrate educational technology effectively.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    + Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

    + Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems.

    + Ability to manage both short-term tasks and long-term projects simultaneously.

    + Familiarity with digital tools and strategies that enhance teaching and learning.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    + Proven ability to plan and execute projects efficiently while maintaining team engagement.

    Responsibilities

    Learning Delivery Leadership

    + Manages a collaborative team in the delivery of online and hybrid learning content by recruiting, mentoring and retaining.

    + Liaises with academic departments and programs on matters related to online and hybrid learning delivery.

    + Schedules system upgrades, maintains backups, and acts as primary liaison with vendors.

    + Troubleshoots/resolves technical problems and c onsiders/resolves user concerns.

    + Assigns priorities and addresses requests as needed.

    + Assists and supports faculty with the use and implementation of online courses.

    + Solves on-demand problems with faculty and students in online hybrid courses.

    + Supervises and evaluates full-time employees and student personnel.

    + Renews instructional software licenses annually.

    + Performs project planning and sets yearly priorities.

    Learning Delivery Execution

    + Supports faculty during synchronous cohort learning sessions.

    + Resolves issues or concerns from students during live, synchronous cohort sessions.

    + Manages the digital learning technologies and environment during synchronous cohort sessions.

    Project Support

    + Manages communications and utilizes excellent time management skills to complete projects.

    + Uses project management system to document project progress.

    + Maintains documentation for each project.

    + Schedules knowledge article projects and defines constraints.

    + Creates outlines, storyboards, workflows, process flows, knowledge articles, etc. as needed to communicate interaction and training ideas.

    + Prepares rough drafts and presents ideas to those with and without a digital learning background.

    + Manages and maintains a knowledge library for projects.

    Information Awareness and Innovation

    + Follows industry trends through blogs, e-newsletters, and social media.

    + Looks for innovative ways to illustrate and share information to the appropriate audiences.

    + Keeps track of trends and news in related areas, such as online education, training, and higher education.

    + Attends and participates in conferences, workshops, training, etc. related to educational technology.

    + Suggests educational technologies to consider for adoption.
