Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Program Manager, Clinical Skills Simulation Center - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Program Manager at the Clinical Skills Simulation Center is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various educational programs, ensuring the smooth operation of simulation-based learning experiences for healthcare professionals. This role involves managing administrative tasks, supporting faculty, maintaining the facility and equipment, and ensuring that simulation-based training meets the needs of learners and stakeholders. The Program Manager will report to Director and Assistant Director about all training sessions, facility issues, and staff management.
Program Management & Coordination:
+ Plan, organize, and execute simulation-based training with the Assistant Director for healthcare professionals, including medical, nursing, allied health, and other clinical staff.
+ Coordinate the scheduling of simulation sessions, workshops, and events, ensuring proper allocation of resources and faculty availability.
+ Collaborate with the Assistant Director, instructors and faculty members to develop simulation scenarios and educational content tailored to specific training needs.
+ Maintain effective communication and logistics for all sessions both Clinical Skills and Simulation.
+ Collaborates with the Assistant Director, faculty members on project development and the implementation of operating policies and procedures to support weekly trainings, the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Institutional Competency Assessment (ICA) testing.
Facility & Equipment Oversight:
+ Reports to Assistant Director.
+ Ensure the Clinical Skills Simulation Center is fully equipped with the necessary simulation tools, mannequins, medical equipment, and technology.
+ Regularly inspect and maintain simulation equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order for all sessions.
+ Oversee the setup, breakdown, and sanitation of simulation rooms between sessions.
+ Schedules the Learning Space system to coincide with the appropriate participants, to include the randomization of groups while ensuring all rotations and groupings are accurate and comprehensive to cover all participants and room assignments.
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
+ Work closely with the Assistant Director, medical school faculty, and clinical instructors to understand curriculum requirements and integrate simulation into the overall educational strategy.
+ Liaise with learners to gather feedback and make improvements to training programs and simulation experiences.
Staff Management:
+ Oversee and train simulation facilitators, and administrative staff.
+ Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff for the center.
+ Provide professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring they are trained in the latest simulation methodologies and technologies.
+ Responsible for sending all cases/scenarios 1 week before the actual SIM event to facilitators.
+ Oversee Teaching assistant and delegate tasks to assist setting up for every session.
Resource Management:
+ Procure and manage materials, equipment, and supplies for the center, ensuring timely and accurate ordering.
+ Monthly supplies inventory gathered and sent to assistant Director
+ Organization of Medical Supply closets
+ Implement and maintain supplies.
Data Collection & Reporting:
+ Track and document the effectiveness of simulation programs through participant evaluations, assessments, and feedback.
+ Prepare regular reports on the performance, outcomes, and impact of simulation programs to stakeholders.
+ Analyze program data to inform program improvements and ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.
+ Innovation & Continuous Improvement
+ Stay up to date with advances in clinical simulation technology and educational methodologies.
+ Implement new simulation technologies and practices to enhance the training experience and improve outcomes.
+ Lead or participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for simulation-based education.
+ Manikin PM and room organization
+ Coordinate all Simulation with the Assistant Director, preparing simulation moulage and equipment to be used for simulation.
+ Create new binders and improve current ones with resources for every training session and set up.

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 2 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare, education, or an appropriate area of specialization and 4 years of appropriate experience.
Paramedic or Registered Nurse certification.
Experience in program management, simulation, ideally in a healthcare or academic environment.
Knowledge of clinical simulation technologies, healthcare education, and adult learning principles.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in using educational software, simulation platforms, and standard office applications.
Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and diverse groups of learners.
Salary:
$65,500 - $75,000 per year.
