    SUMMARY

    The Account Manager I will provide professional, courteous service to our clients, producers, and company personnel. With a positive attitude, the AM will provide a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing our surety accounts. Working alongside the Producers, or AE as assigned, and the AM shall be responsible for overseeing management of assigned accounts, including redundant interface with appropriate decision makers and colleagues throughout HUB.

     

    Issues related to bond processing, maintenance of client data on the Epic agency management system, Bond management system, routine changes (e.g., riders, closeouts, prequal letters, etc.), and other transactional or clerical work fall within the domain of the AM.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Manages a book Surety business

    + Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, surety account retention that meets or exceeds expectations

    + Provides a high level of support to our Sales staff in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business

    + Acts as liaison between clients and sureties to resolve service issues. May also support producer or account executive with underwriter requests and/or new business submissions with sureties. Supports claim notices by sending to the Producer for directive to submit to the surety underwriter

    + Responsible for supporting retention of accounts in assigned book of business by providing a high level of service and commitment to meet timelines

    + Tinubu (Surety Program) client set up with client name/subsidiaries, comments added for special handling, add rates (including multiple classifications), job detail, location, warranties, job timeframe, all that impact accuracy for premium calculation

    + Produce riders, final consents, prequalification letters and other related items while verifying their accuracy

    + Maintain and manage bond requests to ensure timely preparation and processing to meet timelines and deadlines required

    + Prepare rate spreadsheets and comparisons and any related documents requested

    + Assist Producers in moving accounts to another surety

    + Assist Producers in premium collection process and handle accounting issues

    + Refers current and prospective clients to other departments for solicitation of those lines of business

    + Assist clients and producers with claims when necessary

    + Follow all Agency systems, Surety systems procedures and state regulations.

    + Receive an accept constructive criticism and be open to feedback from a team checking documents prepared as this is a team expectation and not to be taken personally

    + Positive approach and willingness to guide and help clients will all requests

    + Professional communication to clients and underwriters

    + Seek guidance and follow direction given by account manager or producer, seek support if new producers request is out of routine or unmanageable)

    + Utilize proper resources through underwriters, producers and account executive.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 1-2 years in surety preferred

    + High School diploma or equivalent

    + Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems and surety systems

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Above average mathematical skills

    + NASBP Surety classes or equivalent courses

    + Knowledge of surety products and usages and ability to work independently.

    + Ability to work in a positive team environment

    + Notary Public

    + Must be able to work onsite at our office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

     

    Department Account Management & Service

     

    Required Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience

     

    Required Travel: No Travel Required

     

    Required Education: High school or equivalent
