Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Manager to join one of our clients in the Baltimore, MD area. The CAD Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation and management of CAD drawings and models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of land surveying principles and the ability to work collaboratively with surveyors and other team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain CAD systems and software.
- Manage and provide mentorship for other members of the CAD team.
- Create, review, and update CAD drawings and models based on survey data.
- Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with surveyors and other team members to ensure accurate representation of survey data.
- Provide training and support to staff on CAD software and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related issues.
- Maintain organized records of all CAD files and documentation.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and industry trends.

Skills and Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil3D) and MicroStation, specifically for land surveying and utility mapping
- Ability to distribute the workload between Technicians reasonably as well as help develop CAD Technicians.
- Ability to QC completed CAD work. - Knowledge of utility systems.
- Experience in:
- Site/Civil
- Civil
- Land Survey
- ORD experience in MicroStation
- GIS experience null
