Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineering Manager for one of our clients to define the technical direction of the team and lead the architecture, design, and implementation efforts to enhance our expanding data platform. This platform supports business processes through internal and external integrations via APIs, data models, self-serve reporting solutions, and interactive querying. You will manage a team of 3 to 5 data engineers, and architects, overseeing their career growth, goal setting, and performance improvements. Your responsibilities will include guiding the team's progression and maturity, ensuring Agile delivery, and implementing DevOps/CI-CD processes.
You will conduct solution analysis and design, balancing both technical and business considerations. This includes high-level and low-level design of real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines within a cloud-native data ecosystem. You will promote and enforce design and development standards and best practices.
Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with users, engineers, and product partners to ensure our data infrastructure meets evolving requirements. Additionally, you will partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to design features for the cloud data platform.
You will work with the latest technologies in the Microsoft cloud stack, including Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event Hub.

Skills and Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a data engineering role.
At least 2 years of experience in leading a team.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure data services (such as Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, SQL DB)
HIGHLY PREFERRED 1-3 years of experience in data architecture activities, including evaluation, design, and implementation of data-related technologies.
Strong understanding of real-time and batch data processing, data pipelines, transformation, and modeling using both traditional and distributed systems.
- Experience with large enterprise level programs; architecting, deploying, developing. 10+ years of data engineering experience
5+ years of experience with Azure Data Services null
