    DESCRIPTION

    We are looking for a talented Field Service Engine Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Sioux Falls, SD,).

     

    $5000 sign on bonus

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    - Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on engine products and other customer equipment in a service shop.

     

    - Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.

     

    - Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

     

    - Completing required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

     

    - Ongoing training and additional certifications on new and existing Cummins products.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

    + Proficient knowledge in troubleshooting Cummins electrical and aftertreatment using Cummins Insite.

    + Proficient work experience in replacing internal components (head, pistons, liners, etc.).

    + Embrace the Cummins values and use them daily.

    + Self-starter with a positive attitude that contributes to the team.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education, Licenses, Certifications:

    Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

     

    Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

     

    Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

     

    This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    Experience:

    Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

    DOT

    - A current valid CDL is required for this role.

     

    - This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free of major violations

     

    - This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing

     

    - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

     

    - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

     

    - Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age "complement of personal and professional.

     

    **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
