DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in Kenner, Louisiana.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Applies documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools

+ Disassemble, inspect and clean engines and /or engine components

+ Assists with completion required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens

+ Completes training in line with skill and business requirements

+ Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

+ Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

+ Engine Technician training (Preferred)

+ Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

+ Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

+ This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

+ Basic experience with engines is required for this role

About the role:

+ Work on: On highway heavy duty trucks, transit, RV, fire trucks. Also on some industrial equipment like air compressors and generators and front-end loaders.

+ Working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.

+ A 5000$ sign on bonus for this position

+ Benefits start day 1

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. This role requires the employee to be onsite everyday

This role requires a valid driver’s license, and is DOT compliant

This role requires on-call rotation.

- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire

- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older

- A current valid license is required for this role

- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience

- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
